Make $$ With Rakeback

A lot of poker players believe professionals earn the most of their cash directly from their opponents.  The truth is however, a lot of these poker players earn a massive proportion of their profits from something known as rakeback.  You don’t have to make that mistake – learn about rakeback, get informed, and profit today.

What is Rakeback?

Effectively, rakeback is a bonus given to poker players who poker sites deem as valuable players.  They want to keep these players at their site by offering them rakeback deals (bonuses) which keep them making more money, and thus staying at their room much longer

To understand how and what exactly rakeback is, I’ll explain it here.  When playing online poker, all poker rooms earn their money by taking a small percentage of each pot (in cash games) or tournament buy-ins of players.  This is known as the “rake”.  The actual figure is so small it makes hardly any difference to games and most players don’t even notice it happening (the rake at most poker rooms is less than 5% of the pots).  Now when a poker player signs up to rakeback, he’ll receive a modest percentage of the rake he generates the room, which is put into his/her poker account.  Rakeback percentages are generally around 30% – that means you’ll be receiving about 30% of the 5% rake the poker room collects.  Although this doesn’t seem much, the amount you can earn from a rakeback account – as opposed to a regular poker room account – can be huge in the long term (see below).

How Much More Can You Make From Rakeback?

The amount you earn having rakeback depends greatly on how often you play and at what stakes.  Because rakeback is about receiving a percentage of the rake you generate the poker room – the more cash games or tournament play, the larger this sum will be.  A lot of rakeback players will make most their profit from the rakeback itself.  In fact, a large amount of average poker players don’t actually make any money directly from poker – but the rakeback they earn gives them profit!  These players won’t like to admit it, but realistically they’re just bonus whoring rather than playing poker profitably.

On average, high volume players will generate up to $20,000 per month in rake, which in terms of the extra amount you’ll earn in rakeback is about $6,000!  Of course it’s unlikely you can expect to play this many games and earn such  a high figure, but even small stakes players can benefit massively from playing with a rakeback account.  For example, if you’re a casual poker playing 3 hours of $0.25/$0.5 poker per day, then you’ll make about $100 extra per month with rakeback.

How Do I Receive Rakeback?

Poker rooms don’t offer rakeback to players directly.  In order to receive rakeback, you have to sign to a room indirectly through an affiliate offering rakeback at that room.  Here at our site we offer you the chance to receive rakeback at a number of rooms by following the instructions listed on our reviews and through our rakeback homepage.
